weeeeee! just reached north carolina! so tired man 36 hours of flights plus the transits. im so hungry now. but we're not in our room yet. =( because they're cleaning our rooms now. cant wait to cook my cup noodles! i think im gonna cook 2 cup noodles because i didnt eat since we flew to chicago.

after we landed at north carolina, zandra lost her phone. her phone dropped somewhere in the airplane. luckily the aircrew found it and straightly gave her phone to the worker. she looked so panic that time. haha

uncle bc rented two cars for us. but only shalin and wendy can drive the cars because they have license in usa (err.. i think so). but the scariest thing was we almost get hit by a car that came the opposite of us. shalin didnt know that they drive on the right lane. haha. the gps is how cool man. we can go anywhere we want with the gps.

The smile on the face of the Mona Lisa is so enigmatic that it disappears when it is looked at directly, says a US scientist.

Professor Margaret Livingstone of Harvard University said the smile only became apparent when the viewer looked at other parts of the painting.

The Mona Lisa, painted by Leonardo da Vinci in the 1500s, has intrigued art lovers for five centuries because of its subject's mysterious smile.

The theory has been presented at the American Association for the Advancement of Science's (AAAS) annual meeting in Denver, Colorado, this week.

The smile disappeared when it was looked at because of the way the human eye processes visual information, said Prof Livingstone.

The eye uses two types of vision, foveal and peripheral.

Foveal, or direct vision, is excellent at picking up detail but is less suited to picking up shadows.

"The elusive quality of the Mona Lisa's smile can be explained by the fact that her smile is almost entirely in low spatial frequencies, and so is seen best by your peripheral vision," Prof Livingstone said.

The more a person stares fixedly ahead, the less useful is their peripheral vision.

Prof Livingstone said the best example of this effect was if someone was to stare at a letter on a page of print.

Concentrating on one letter made it difficult to pick out other letters even a short distance away, Prof Livingstone said.

She said the same principle was used by da Vinci on the painting. The smile only became apparent if a viewer looked at her eyes or elsewhere on her face.

~SYNOPSIS~

~SYNOPSIS~

The drama portrays affection and conflict between a mother (Kim Hee Ae) and her only daughter (Go Ah Ra). Kim Ki Bum, a member of the idol group Super Junior,will play the role of the boyfriend of Go's character.
Kim Hee Ae (the mom): was a poor but smart woman, and when she was younger she met Lee Jae Ryong's character and they fell in love. They got married and she had a daughter. Go Ara (the daughter): She forgets about her father and cannot even recall what his face looked like, but one day, she accidentally interferes with a phone call from him that was meant for her mother. She's shocked because her mother lied about what truly happened to her father, and becomes angry at her mother. She gives up college and for no reason, decides she's going to become an actress. By chance, she's casted in a movie that is based on her mother's bestseller. To anger her mother, she goes out with her boss, Han In Chan (Kibum's half brother) and becomes the queen of scandals. When she goes to see her father, she is disappointed to see him so well off, unable to understand his reason for not being there as she was growing up.
Lee Jae Ryong (the dad): Married Kim Hee Ae and had a daughter, Go Ara. Got divorced once she found out he had another wife and children. Was unable to see Go Ara until she was older because the mother cut off all contact with him. Is shocked when Ara comes to Japan to see him without notice.
In Chan (kibum's half brother and ara's boss): inherited his father's movie business. A player. Uses Ara as revenge for some SooJin girl.
Kibum (Young Chan-- Ara's sunbae): a photographer. Tough guy. Decided to follow his own path of life rather than follow the family business. Likes Ara, but when his confession to Ara turns away, Ara begins to see Kibum as annoying. Ara thinks he only likes her due to the rivalry he has with his brother, so she does not like him. But even still, Kibum still sticks by her and loves her.

A cop named Jae-Hyuk is frantically chasing a drug dealer on foot when he inadvertently crashes into Soo-Jin. The skewered fish sausage becomes lodged into Jae-Hyuk’s abdomen.
To make matters worse, Jae-Hyuk suffers from an acute fear of sharp pointed objects. He finds it difficult to even look at a fork or knife and was barely able to get into the police department because of his phobia. When Jae-Hyuk sees the fish sausage lodged into his abdomen he passes out immediately. Soo-Jin causes a minor storm by reporting this incident on her television show and on the Internet.

She gets into a cab to go home but reminds Tae Woong that he never found out her name.
Later on, Tae Woong and Jeong Kyu both enter an international math Olympiad that Jeong Kyu and his father want to win badly. When Tae Woong wins, Jeong Kyu commits suicide.
The following tragic events soon took its toll on the rest of Tae Woong's life, and forgets about ever set a date to meet the little girl. Then, for 8 years he struggled to carry on with his life.
At 25, Tae Woong is now a third class boxer and in unexpected events, finds Bo Ra (Sung Yu Ri), the little girl he once knew.
The tale continues into the world of the cold-hearted Bo Ra and it is only Tae Woong that could possibly melt her heart. It slowly unfolds many secrets along the way and the past is soon to be made right again. With the help of Tae Woong's love, Bo Ra learns to find happiness within herself, and in return, Tae Woong comes into terms with his past.

In this romantic-comedy, Yoon Eun Hye plays the role Lee Ji Hyun (이지현), a young woman who grows up in the bustling life of Seoul. After three years of unemployment since graduation, Ji Hyun worked as a temporary designer for a clothing company. After designing a dress, its stolen by the chief designer who had hired two men to steal from Ji Hyun while she was wearing it. However Ji Hyun is subsequently fired because everyone thought she was the one had tried to steal the design. After falling in debt from buying an expensive dress at a department store, which infuriates her mother-she relucantly goes to work at her grand uncle’s vineyard. She will inherit it if she stays there one year. However when arriving at the vineyard, she reunites with Jang Taek Gi (Oh Man Suk), who was wrongfully arrested by police when Ji Hyun reported her dress had been stolen. Jang Taek Gi happens to be a local resident who works in the vineyard and the two clash often as Ji Hyun-a city girl had a hard time adjusting to living in the country where even plumbing is a big problem. However, after many twists and turns Ji-hyun adapts to rustic life and opened up to the warmhearted residents of the village as well as falling in love with Taek-Gi.

japan's lifestyle is so modern and cool. aya and shoji brought us to shibuya and finally found many good looking guys and good looking girls. the way they dressed up are soooo cool and so modernish. there are so many nice clothes in shibuya but i ended up buying socks! haha. there's a place where they only sell all brand of japanese clothes which made sharon bored. i felt pity for her so we ended up looking at the clothes only. how sad. =( here's the picture of us with aya and shoji.

just came back from japan yesterday. i miss japan i miss the weathers, the sceneries, the peoples, the cute cute things, the foods, the cherry blossoms etc etc. how sad that we only get to stay there for only 5 days. but i enjoyed myself this time. weeeeeee.

well i didnt bowl that well in japan. if i didnt miss those 3 spares i could have been in the top 8. so wasted la.

oh there's this one DHC bowler is 14 years old. and she is soooo cute. but she doesnt look like a 14 years old girl. the way she acted was wayyyyyyyy younger than her age. i wont forget how she acted when i said that im 16 years old. haha. so damn cute la oh ya she's actually an actress too she have her own commercial and shows and she have 3 hairdressers following her everywhere. how lucky here is her picture
